Blog Dec 30 2014 - Ranking Factors that are being ignored by too many SEO campaigns
Even though Google’s algorithm is unclear, some traditional ranking techniques seem to consistently work, while others may be overlooked. By overlooking, that does not mean it does not exist. It is just that campaigns are not optimizing for it yet.
This factor is engagement management or engagement marketing. Not just onsite engagement, but overall web engagement involving your website and your brand/service. This can be rolled out many different ways. A traditional Google search is one way of people going directly to your website, with many people typing in searches to find your brand. But what you should want is the involvement of engagement on your website, through emails, chat, and ultimately unassisted generated leads.
This is now a measurement that differentiates one brand/service/website from the next. What is one doing more involving engagement management that the other one is not.
